hearing aids (expensive or inexpensive) do amplify sound but do not remove the 'fog' in intelligibility

Quickly was able to make an appointment for hearing aids for my demented father. They thought along with me to find the right solution for him.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with these hearing aids so far. I hope it continues like this and I am super satisfied with the support from Hearly.

I knew that buying the right hearing aids was no easy task. My visit to a hearing store was not an unqualified success and that was because they wanted to sell me hearing aids. A common but annoying omission; a customer is not buying hearing aids, but is looking for a solution to his or her problem, in this case hearing problems. So I went looking for another supplier.

After a (written) inventory of problems and wishes, I was put in touch with one of their audiologists, Ms. Tanja Oomen, at Oogvoororen. I cannot judge whether I was lucky with that contact, but I noticed very clearly that she was seriously looking for THE solution to my problems. It was reassuring that she herself stated that choosing the right hardware was difficult, a matter of targeted search and time. For a potential customer, the fact that you are not pushed into a quick decision is very reassuring and confidence-inspiring.

And so it could happen, that the first set of hearing aids - after an extensive trial period - turned out not to be good enough after all. However, an evaluation of unmet needs enabled her to come up with a better proposal: a set of Widex Moment hearing aids. I've been wearing them for about a month now, so for a complete evaluation it might be a little too early. But the wearing comfort is excellent, you hardly feel them, you can hardly see that you are wearing them. Adjusting the listening mode via the app so that you have optimal sound reception in a wide variety of situations is simple and effective. In short: the knowledge, patience and professionalism of Mrs. Oomen and her conviction that she had to and could offer a solution to my problems, has already made me a satisfied customer.
