Very good device charging works perfectly sound optimal app works super

Very satisfied with the devices. In addition to this hearing aid, I also have a CROSS for my almost deaf ear, but it only works for a few functions so you have to wear it part of the time without it doing anything.
Own voice recognition makes the sound a lot more pleasant but

only works with 2 hearing aids, that is not really clear from the information provided online.

I really didn't expect such an improvement in my ageing hearing abilities,
but I did.
The experience in special circumstances such as listening to music has particularly affected me.

For some years now my hearing loss has forced me to wear hearing aids.
Until recently I used hearing aids that were partially reimbursed by the health insurance company. However, understanding from people around me left a lot to be desired and to replace my "old" hearing aids, I have been trying out the latest (and most powerful) hearing aids from Phonak, Oticon and Resound over the past few months.

It's easy to see why they are so popular.
Due to competitive pricing and broad support of different brands I went with IntoEars hearing clinic (OogvoorOren.nl).

The audicien there spent considerable time and effort in 5 sessions to arrive at the best choice and fitting. It should be noted that the audicien was very receptive to my feedback and took it into account each time in an update of the fitting. No effort was too much when doing the very important Real Ear Measurement several times and accurately. It also proved possible in the trial period to try 2 different brands simultaneously and side by side.
My choice fell on the Opn S1 hearing aid from Oticon.
Oticon's philosophy is to preserve the natural sound experience as much as possible, using the ability of our brain to perceive a hearing aid generated sound image as natural as well. To this end, the 'normal' surrounding sound is transmitted through the open ear buds, but supported by focusing and amplifying the most important sounds and suppressing disturbing noise. Using the 2 microphones on each unit and coordination of both units, the (constantly changing) ambient sound is analyzed in real time and a variable microphone beam is formed which, depending on the situation, is kept as wide as possible and directed to the desired sound source(s).
The adjustment, adjustable for 16 frequencies and 3 sound levels, i.e. soft, medium and loud sounds, provides an accurate compensation for my hearing loss and together with the fine sound definition of the receiver, intelligibility (my main objective) is greatly improved for me and with retention of a mostly open sound experience. Despite the open character, ringing is effectively suppressed. I even seem to suffer less from my tinnitus.


To get rid of the hassle with batteries, I have chosen the rechargeable version. The battery capacity is sufficient for 24 hours of use. It is recommended to charge the devices every day. For this purpose, an extremely handy charger is included, which charges the fixed Li-ion battery without contact. By means of double action and sufficiently large buttons, operation on the device is very easy. The volume range is more than sufficient and there are 4 program choices for practically all circumstances. Operation can be set according to choice, e.g. program selection on the left and volume on the right. With well-chosen alert tones for volume, program and battery status, the overall operation is very user friendly. The lights on the units are a bit dim.


The device has Bluetooth capability for operation with a phone app, but streaming via Bluetooth is currently only possible with Apple iPhones and not (yet) with Android phones. This would become possible in the future, which is not only important for streaming music but also for updating my settings remotely, i.e. without an extra visit to the audiologist.


In summary, I am more than happy with this, although quite expensive and not reimbursed, choice. But what is the price of an understandable human conversation ?

For 14 years, since I was 47 years old, I have been using hearing aids, of which 7 years I have been very satisfied with the Oticon hearing aids. 14 years ago I was referred by the ENT doctor to a, as he said " good optician". Because the prices/quality of hearing aids are not transparent, it was difficult to compare. When I needed new hearing aids again at the beginning of this year, I went to my optician. I was shocked at the prices and was told that the Oticon was not covered by the insurance company. I tried the Oticon Nera2 hearing aids, searched the internet for prices of the hearing aids and ended up at Oog voor Oren. A difference of €900.00 per pair, I was shocked. The explanation of the other optician was that the service was not optimal. He could also deliver for a little more than that price, but then I would only get 2 years of service. Finally I made an appointment with Sandra Bartolome in Eindhoven. Everything was explained to me in detail. What is service and what is not. The prices are completely transparent. And not to forget the hearing test. My hearing was nowhere tested as extensively as with Sandra. (I have been to other opticians as well)

3 months after purchase I was approached by OogvoorOren with the question if I was satisfied and if I needed a checkup appointment. I see now that I was made dependent on the other optician. For every little thing I had to go to him.

I now know exactly what I am paying for. I also get reimbursed by the insurance company via OogvoorOren. All in all it saved a lot of money. My compliments to Oog voor oren!

but after a few years the sound deteriorated

So I had a trial app. with compensation but the sound was the same as my old devices

Then I visited the web side of Oog voor Oren with all the hearing aids on the market inc. the release of those devices it turned out that the device of Resound were already a few years old

After a visit to Ears in Krimpen aan de Ijsel I purchased an Oticon Siya Mini Rite
What an improvement!
What an improvement! With all my previous instruments I never heard such good sound. I can now hear 94 percent again. I am deaf, slightly over 52 percent.
never knew what a noise listeners make it a pleasure to listen to

this device was issued in 20018 so it is one of the most modern devices

Super good hearing aid, after 3 other devices to have tried in Belgium, this is really the best. No background noise, easy to adjust via app. Very good service and good explanation. Overall a satisfied customer. Big thanks to Mildo for explaining everything really well.

Today I bought the Resound Quattro and was allowed to compare it to the Phonak Audéo Marvel M90, for me as a (hobby) musician and music lover the Resound is so much better than the Phonak and overall a great device so in the first hours of wearing it, the Sebotek which I had before was also great with music but the Resound is just a bit better and more modern with all the other options so I've improved a lot. Now hope that Google soon supports the device but with the clipp included I'm already very happy.



Bram has super helped and took the time to test and set everything right, a service you do not get in the shop this way.
